Forstat Analytics Oy offers statistical consulting services to universities, companies and researchers. Our expertise is in medical sciences, and biostatistics in clinical and epidemiological studies. We are experienced in prospective studies including randomized controlled trials, use of large register-based datasets, and analyses related to repeated measures and time-to-event/survival data.
We can help with all stages of research: initial planning inc. study design and power analyses; Choice of statistical methods and writing the statistical analysis plan; Data collection, Data analyses and interpretation of results; and Publications and reviews.

Forstat Analytics Oy is based in Espoo, Finland. The company was founded in Umeå, Sweden in 1994, and moved to Finland in 2008.
Forstat Analytics Oy is owned by professor Markku Peltonen. His background is in statistics, and he has an PhD in cardiovascular disease epidemiology since 1999. He is associate professor (docent) in epidemiology at the University of Helsinki since 2004. His own research has focused on prevention and treatment of cardiovascular diseases, type 2 diabetes, obesity and memory disorders. He has more than 400 scientific publications, of which several as principle investicator or responsible statistician in leading medical journals (including NEJM, Lancet ja JAMA).
Through our collaborators, we can recruite high level statistical consulting services in areas which our own experience is limited.
